Fast Food Chains with Vegan Food Options
Wowza!!!
I know COVID has changed a lot of travel plans for many of you around the world, and I’m right there with you.
When it came time to see my family for the first time in 2020 (almost 11 months into the year) I decided to hop into my SUV and drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Charlotte, North Carolina. I thought…”No big deal. I used to do this all the time as a kid.”
Well, I would just like to go on record and say that I HIGHLY recommend NOT road tripping halfway across the United States in one day. No thank you and never again! Well at least not until the misery of my numb butt and pinched back nerve goes away. Who knows what I’ll be thinking come next year when my travel bug strikes again ;)
When in Rome…you gotta eat!
While driving cross country as a converting vegan, I had to strategically plot out what fast food chains I could leverage for a meal here and there. Thankfully, there are actually quite a few more options than I would have expected prior to doing a bit of research.
You see, being vegan doesn’t always equate to “healthy”. It is just non-dairy, plant based food. That could mean french toast sticks, french fries, or a number of other products. However, if you don’t want to be eating a bunch of side dishes, or buying a salad and picking out the cheese, bacon, chicken, etc. I thought it would be nice to share a few of my favorite options I picked up along the way. Thankfully there are a ton to choose from!

Now it you’re like me and like to munch on a treat from time to time to “entertain” yourself or “help” you stay awake while driving…or whatever excuse you would like to give yourself, then you are in luck! I am a snacking connoisseur, so you’re not alone!

I’ve gone ahead and listed some of my favorite vegan snacks to help with all of your packing needs. But let’s be real, these snacks don’t need to be saved just for road trips. Indulge as you please!
